August 2010 Staff Member of the Month

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare recently announced that Sherry Hartner is G.V.M.H. Staff Member of the Month for August 2010.  Sherry has been an employee of Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare since November 16, 1981.  She presently is an RN in the Outpatient Treatment Center.   
              
A fellow employee nominated Sherry and had the following to say about her:
“ Sherry has been here for a number of years, is very loyal and dependable for her department.  Her patients like her very much and she gives excellent care to them.  She is Oncology certified—which is a big plus for our hospital.  She has been doing her job for years and is very competent.

She not only takes care of the oncology patients, she also has a variety of patients coming to her area for blood transfusions, antibiotics and other infusions, all of which she takes in stride for a full days work.
Sherry loves her job and her patients and they can tell by the way she treats them.  She is a wonderful employee for our hospital.

Sherry is very friendly and positive in all of the work she does and this also helps those employees she works with to have a positive attitude.

Sherry is a great asset to our hospital, without her we may not be able to keep our patients here to receive treatments.  This is a big plus to our area.  Sherry and her husband Raymond are active in their church helping with activities.”

In being named Staff Member of the Month, Sherry was given a corsage, a $100.00 gift certificate, and a special parking place for the month.  Her name will be engraved on a plaque to be permanently displayed in the hospital.  Sherry is also one of twelve finalists for the 2010-2011 Staff Member of the Year award.
