G.V.M.H. STAFF MEMBER OF THE MONTH

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare recently announced that Linda Holt is G.V.M.H. Staff Member of the Month for August 2009.  Linda has been an employee of Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare since April 1, 2004 when the hospital purchased Wetzel Clinic where she was employed December 5, 1983.  She presently is a Supervisor for Golden Valley Medical-Clinton.             

A fellow employee nominated Linda and had the following to say about her:
“Linda Holt has been employed at the clinic for 20 years.  Linda is one of the most dependable individuals in the organization and this testimony can be heard from any of the 40 individuals that report to her as well as the other 80 co-workers and physicians that interact with her regularly.

Linda’s versatility is shown daily in her approach to coverage needs throughout the clinic in that she not only finds coverage in the various offices each day but also most always fills Medical Assistant voids herself.  She clearly walks in her employee’s shoes daily and believes in the idea of managing on her feet instead of her seat.

Linda practices what she preaches in the way of courtesy to internal and external customers.  Her great enthusiastic attitude is unmatched.  The patients always come first with Linda.  Linda is wonderful to work with and is always courteous and prompt with her response.

I have been working with Linda personally on a project and have been impressed with the dedication and cooperation during this transition.  She has a great work ethic, which is contagious.  She has a great and positive influence and speaks highly about the organization at and away from work.

I believe that Linda is a model employee and is a great asset to this organization and contributes to the mission and vision of Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare in actions each and every day.  Linda is very deserving in being named employee of the month.”

In being named Staff Member of the Month, Linda was given a corsage, a $100.00 gift certificate, and a special parking place for the month.  Her name will be engraved on a plaque to be permanently displayed in the hospital.  Linda is also one of twelve finalists for the 2009-2010 Staff Member of the Year award.
