G.V.M.H. STAFF MEMBER OF THE MONTH

Golden Valley Memorial Hospital recently announced that Debra A. Burrow is G.V.M.H. Staff Member of the Month for March 2008.  Debra has been an employee of Golden Valley Memorial Hospital since March 8, 1978.  She presently is a Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

A fellow employee nominated Debra and had the following to say about her:
“Debbie has worked here for 29 years.  She has always shown herself to be dependable and shows a strong sense of loyalty to her co-workers.  Even on her day off, she shows concern for that days’ workload.  She has served on the Falls Committee and the Staff Advisory Committee.  She cares about hospital issues!  She has been involved in the Heart, Cancer, and Diabetes Management walks because she cares about those issues very strongly. Debbie never hesitates to jump in and help when she sees a need.  You never have to ask-- she just acts.  She sees and assesses the situation in an instant.  Courtesy, cooperation, attitude, and hospitality are all good qualities in Debbie.  Her positive outlook infects everyone she comes into contact with. Debbie attends United Church of Christ and has been a member for several years.  She is just a giving to her community, as she is her work place.

In being named Staff Member of the Month, Debbie was given a corsage, a $100.00 gift certificate, and a special parking place for the month.  Her name will be engraved on a plaque to be permanently displayed in the hospital.  Debbie is also one of twelve finalists for the 2007-2008 Staff Member of the Year award.
