G.V.M.H. STAFF MEMBER OF THE MONTH

 

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare recently announced that Jean Hazlett is G.V.M.H. Staff Member of the Month for September 2010.  Jean has been an employee of Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare since April 1, 2004 and before that had been employed with Wetzel Clinic since March 9, 2000 until the time that GVMH purchased the clinic.  She presently is an Aide in Environmental Services at GVM-Warsaw.              
   
A fellow employee nominated Jean and had the following to say about her:

“ Jean alters her work schedule from early hours of day to late hours, to meet the needs of the clinic and has done this multiple times.  Jean is the one of two Environmental Services Aides in Warsaw.  In the winter months, before we get to work, Jean can be found in coveralls spreading salt on our parking lot for our safety.

Jean can spot a task from afar.  She will drop what she is doing to take care of anything that comes up.  She never has to be asked and she never complains.  If you ask her for supplies to clean something, she will have it cleaned before she can tell you where to find the supplies.

Jean’s dependability and consistency in her attitude and work ethic shows day after day, week after week, year after year.  She portrays a wholesome attitude toward work.  I have yet to hear her complain about her job.

Jean is always positive.  I have never seen Jean waste time complaining or gossiping.  She will take the time to give a compliment to a co-worker and scurry back to work.  Her attitude is a morale booster.

Multiple departments in this facility have requested this nomination be made for Jean.  That alone should speak for her contribution to this hospital/facility.”

In being named Staff Member of the Month, Jean was given a corsage and a $100.00 gift certificate.  Her name will be engraved on a plaque to be permanently displayed in the hospital.  Jean is also one of twelve finalists for the 2010-2011 Staff Member of the Year award.
