Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare’s Emergency Department celebrated Emergency Medical Services Week with the EMS Challenge. Along with GVMH Emergency Department employees, other area emergency professionals competed in challenges that included a donut eating contest, relay with obstacle course and tug of war. Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare would like to announce Friday transportation services have been added to the transportation schedule. Beginning in June, transportation will be offered Monday through Friday. Curb-to-curb service is available in Clinton. Rides are available from Warsaw, Windsor, Deepwater or Calhoun. Patients who need transportation to Golden Valley Medical – Clinton, Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, GVMH Rehab & Wellness, Aquatic Therapy pool, or Saint Luke’s Medical in Clinton are eligible to ride the bus. Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare presented The Zeta Gilvin Scholarship to Alicia Harkey at the Nurse’s Tea on May 6 during National Nurse’s Week. The scholarship is made available by the generous donations of the family of Zeta Gilvin, her many friends, and from fund-raising activities conducted by the Nursing Department at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare. Zeta Gilvin was a Registered Nurse at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare for 19 years and was a surgical nurse at the time of her untimely death. more... |

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare would like to announce that Dr. Ken Holt OB/GYN at Golden Valley Medical-Clinton has been trained to provide the innovative contraceptive, Implanon. Implanon is a small, flexible rod, about the size of a matchstick, that contains etonogestral, a progestin. Once inserted under the skin, the rod continually releases a low dose of etonogestral into the bloodstream, which provides contraceptive protection. You can use a single IMPLANON rod for up to three years and it does not contain estrogen. Most of the time after implanted, the rod is not visible.
