» Re/Max Truman Lakes makes a Donation to GVMH Foundation

Re/Max Truman Lake presented a donation to the GVMH Foundation to support the GVMH Birthing Center’s SIDS program. Proceeds from ReMax/Truman Lake’s annual Krispy Kreme Donut Sale this year support programs and activities aimed at reducing the risk of SIDS in this area. The GVMH Foundation would like to thank Re/Max for their generous donation!

Julius and Sally Wall, community leaders and long time supporters of Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) has been named Honorary Chairs of the 2011 Evening to Remember. According to David Mills, GVMH Foundation Chairman, the Walls were selected “because their commitment to this community is amazing. It is an honor to have them serve in this capacity for the event.” The Evening to Remember is the Foundation’s signature event that raises funds to support the programs and services of GVMH. more...
» Donation to Cardiac Rehab from the Golden Valley Eagles #3667

GVMH Foundation Board Chairman David Mills (far left) and Cardiac Rehab Director Megan Cunningham (far right) were excited about the recent donation to the GVMH Foundation. A check for more than $2600 was presented to Craig Thompson, Assistant Administrator Professional Services by Golden Valley Eagles #3667, Aerie & Auxiliary. Also pictured are members Glenda Welborn, John Blank, Brenda D'Aunoy, and Sally Flynn. They held a fundraising event in February for American Heart Month to donate proceeds to the GVMH Cardiac Rehab and to Children’s Mercy Hospital’s cardiac unit. This is the second time that the group has donated to the GVMH Foundation for our local Cardiac Rehab program.

» GVMH Foundation Diabetes Walk Assists Patients

Stefanie Fiss of Lowry City knows first hand about how the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation assists patients. Stefanie has been diagnosed with gestational diabetes during her two pregnancies. Gestational diabetes is diagnosed in pregnant women around 28 weeks who have high blood sugar levels during their pregnancy. If left untreated it could harm the baby. There are 135,000 cases of gestational diabetes in the United States every year. more...
