Cynthia Brouk receives Certification

Golden Valley Memorial Hospital would like to announce that Cynthia Brouk, RD, LD, AHCFA, MBA has recently completed her certification in childhood and adolescent weight management from the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Cynthia has been the Director of Nutrition and Dietetics at GVMH since 1981.  During that time, she has completed her Masters in Business Administration-Health Service Management from the University of Dallas.  In 1992 she was named Outstanding Dietitian of the Year and in 2000 she became licensed through the Missouri Licensing Board.

Cynthia was recently spotlighted on the American Heart Association Website. She has volunteered numerous hours over the years for the American Heart Association.   She was the first woman to serve on the Missouri Heart Association Executive Committee, was President of the Henry County division, and served on the six-state Heartland Affiliate Board of Directors.  She served on the school site and nutrition committees for the state heart association and was active in promoting the Body Walk.  She was a charter member of the Missouri Cholesterol Coalition for several years.
