Dr. Spooner Attends Seminar

Tom Spooner, D.O. has returned from Independence, Missouri where he attended the winter Scientific Seminar, January 24-27, 2008 at the Hilton Garden Inn.
The meeting was sponsored by the Missouri Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, to provide continuing medical education for osteopathic family practice physicians. Continuing medical education is required for all osteopathic physicians to retain Board Certification and is also required by the Board of Registration for the Healing Arts for licensure renewal in Missouri.
The Missouri Society of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians is the state specialty society for osteopathic physicians who specialize in family medicine and is an affiliate of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
Prominent physicians and educators presented scientific programs on an array of medial topics. Lectures were developed to assist Dr. Spooner in his daily practice, offering current information regarding diagnosis, treatment of diseases and injury, and advances in medical technology.
In addition, the physicians had an opportunity to attend the scientific exhibit hall where they have time to discuss new health related products and services, as well as the latest developments in new pharmaceutical products, office technology and medical equipment.
Dr. Spooner has served as president of the Missouri Chapter of American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
