New 128-Slice CT Scanner Brings World-Class Imaging Home

128 Slice CT Scanner

Golden Valley Memorial Hospital is one of the first hospitals in the nation to install a new 128-slice CT scanner.  The scanner provides the fastest and highest-resolution imaging available anywhere.

Shorter exam times and precise images mean doctors can diagnose and treat illness and injury right away – rather than wait for slower imaging equipment to transmit lower-quality images.

The 128-slice scanner adds many more comfort features, including a larger opening that gives an open feel, and a wider table that can accommodate patients up to 650 pounds. The radiology unit is being redesigned to create a calming atmosphere. The new CT suite will provide a comfortable atmosphere with soothing colors similar to our stereotactic breast biopsy and digital mammography suite.

For more information about the 128-Slice CT or other radiology services call, Doug Walrath, Director of Radiology at 890-7147.
