Children's Health Forum - January 22, 2009

Do you worry about your children getting sick? Your children are constantly exposed to bacteria and viruses that may contribute to colds, flu, and other illnesses. When your child isn't feeling well, you'll want to know how to recognize the symptoms, how to help, and when to call the doctor. On January 22, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is holding the, “Your Healthy Child” program, a health forum presented by a panel of professionals. The panel will include Dr. Brendan Bagley, Dr. Richard Woodland, Michelle Brown FNP and a nurse from the Henry County Health Center.

This panel of professionals will answer questions that parents may have regarding their child’s health. When do I call the doctor? How do I know when a fever is something more than just a fever? How do I decide if sickness is virus related or bacteria related? What symptoms should I look at when determining if my child needs to go to the doctor? What immunizations are needed at what age and the frequency of them? To have these and many other questions answered, join us on January 22 at 12:00 noon in the Medical Plaza Classroom in Clinton.
If you have questions you would like to have answered during the program you may email them to klasswell@gvmh.org or you may submit them that day. Please feel free to bring your lunch and eat during the forum.
