Sherry Hartner Receives Certification
Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare would like to announce that Sharon (Sherry) L. Hartner, RN, OCN has recently fulfilled the requirements to become an Oncology Certified Nurse. This certification is through the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation, and is accredited by American Board of Nursing Specialist and the National Commission for Certifying Agencies.
Sherry is a graduate of State Fair Community College. She has been employed at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital since 1981, and has been working in Oncology for the past 17 years. Sherry completed an oncology preceptorship program thru Research Medical Center in Kansas City. She attends the annual Oncology Nursing Society review class and completes a written proficiency exam.
Sherry is an oncology registered nurse in the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Outpatient Treatment Center. Qualifying as an Oncology Certified Nurse is a step in maintaining proficiency and assuring the patients at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital receive qualified, professional care.
