Marlys Chapman, DTR is completing the four-year of advanced nutrition education.  As a dietetic student, she was invited to attend the Missouri Dietetic Association's Legislative Day at the Capitol.  Marlys joined other dietetic students of Missouri, Registered Dietitians (RD's) and members of the Missouri Dietetics Association Board.  A highlight of the day was their visit with Governor Nixon.  Lisa Frasier, Board President was presented with a Proclamation in recognition of the service provided by the RD.  The group met in the rotunda to serve fruit smoothies to the Legislators in appreciation of their public service. 

Marlys is an employee of the Food and Nutrition Services Department at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Chapman is an active member of the American Dietetic Association, Missouri Dietetic Association, Kansas City Dietetic Association, Southwest Dietetic Association, National Dietary Managers Association and Missouri Dietary Managers Association.
