Room Service at GVMH
Room service is not just for hotels anymore. Golden Valley Memorial Hospital patients will soon experience room service during their stay. GVMH Food and Nutrition Services is pleased to announce that beginning Tuesday, October 27, hotel-style room service will be available. This new service is an extension of GVMH’s ongoing commitment to provide service excellence.
Room service will provide patients a variety of food choices from a restaurant style menu. Patients will be able to order meals anytime between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. by calling Food and Nutrition Services from their room phone. A family member may call on behalf of the patient if needed. Room service provides freedom for patients. They can control when they eat and each meal will be fresh, cooked-to-order, and delivered in 45 minutes. Breakfast lovers will be able to get breakfast anytime during the day, and lunch and supper meals are available between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Patients on most special or modified diets will have food choices on the menu as well. A chef-select meal will be delivered to those who choose not to use room service or to those whose physician has ordered a diet not available on the room service menu. GVMH is excited to offer this new service to our patients. It definitely complements our other hotel amenity, a guest wireless internet connection.
