GVMH Welcomes a New Surgeon
Dr. Sunanda Magadan, M.D.
Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare would like to welcome Sunanda Magadan, MD, to our surgery team. She comes to us with a long list of accomplishments, including receiving her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas and completing her surgery residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Her writing has been published in the El Paso Physician and she was a speaker at the Rio Grande Imaging Society.
Dr. Magadan’s training includes a full range of general surgery, including trauma, critical care, endoscopy and laparoscopic surgery. Her strengths include extensive training in underserved areas along with her depth of knowledge in a broad range of advanced diseases.
She says that Clinton is an ideal community to begin her medical practice, as she knows what it takes to practice in a rural area from years of watching her father practice in a West Texas town with a population of 1,000. Dr. Magadan will live in the area with her husband, Dr. Julian Magadan, who recently finished his residency at KU Medical Center.
