GVMH Room Service: A Proven Success in Patient Satisfaction
In October 2009, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare announced the addition of Room Service to their Food and Nutrition Services department. Since that time Press Ganey patient satisfaction scores for food service have increased to the 95th percentile for the Press Ganey database, which means that GVMH ranked higher than 95 percent of other hospitals in the country for patient satisfaction in hospital food service. GVMH participates in the Press Ganey’s customer satisfaction survey process to compare its patient satisfaction with other hospitals across the United States.
The addition of room service allows patients the opportunity to eat at their convenience and choose from a restaurant-style menu. Room service provides freedom for patients. They can control when they eat and each meal is fresh, cooked-to-order, and delivered in 45 minutes by friendly, caring staff.
