Neurologist Joins GVMH Medical Staff in Clinton

GVMH is pleased to announce the addition of a full-time neurologist to Golden Valley Medical in Clinton. Abul Fazal S.M. Ali, M.D. will begin practicing at the clinic in late August.

Dr. Ali is relocating to Clinton from Okeechobee, Florida where he has been practicing since 1993. Dr. Ali’s wife, an art teacher, and eight-year-old daughter will also be moving to Clinton. His two sons are currently attending college.

Dr. Ali received his medical degree in 1979 from Osmania Medical College in India. After internship and residency, he practiced in India for a short time before relocating to the United States. Following his arrival in the US, he completed an internship and psychiatry residency at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburg. One year after his psychiatry residency, Dr. Ali began a neurology residency at the University of Health Sciences in Chicago. Dr. Ali’s residency included rotations at Cook County hospital and the University of Illinois Hospital.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Ali’s interests include photography, travel, and sightseeing. He enjoys reading professional journals and other periodicals. Dr. Ali also enjoys participating in sports such as tennis, table tennis and golf. He also appreciates a good game of chess or billiards.
