GVMH Celebrates Perioperative Nurses Week - Nov. 9th - 15th, 2008

Perioperative Nurses Week

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare’s Surgical Services Department joins the nation in celebrating Perioperative Nurse Week from November 9 through November 15.  Held annually, this is a time in which perioperative nurses are recognized for their professional nursing qualities, dedication to patient care, and excellence in perioperative nursing.

In true team spirit, and in looking at the surgical experience as a continuum, GVMH is celebrating all of the Surgical Services, staff from all areas including outpatient surgery, recovery, operating room, and sterile processing.  All of these professionals are the people who are behind the scenes as well as the ones our patients meet.  They each have an integral and important role in providing patients with safe, competent and compassionate care.  So we take this time for a week of special recognition. We also acknowledge that this staff works hard and should be proud of the care and service they provide every day to GVMH patients, physicians, and each other.

GVMH Surgical Services Team: Shirley Ballew, Marjorie Berube, Anita Cook, Kay DeGraffenreid, Becky Douthit, Freda Goth, Laura Goth, Pam Gardner, Sarabeth Graef, Juan Hilario, Gayle Jeffress, Kathy King, Leanne Marlay, Marilyn Mochel, Linda Plumley, Debbie Rogers, Marge Ross, Megan Skaggs, Mindy Thomas, Jerry Warren, Sharon White, Janet Young, and Debbie Linafelter.
