Perioperative Nurse Week / Surgical Services Week

The GVMH surgical services team
Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare’s Surgical Services Department joins the nation in celebrating Perioperative Nurse Week from November 8 through November 14. Held annually, this is a time in which perioperative nurses are recognized for their professional nursing qualities, dedication to patient care, and excellence in perioperative nursing.
At GVMH, we view the surgical experience as a continuum and celebrate all of the Surgical Services team members (OP Surgery, PACU, OR, Sterile processing). These are the people behind the scenes as well as the ones our patients meet. Everyone has a distinct, important role in providing our patients with competent, safe and compassionate care. So we take this time for a week of special recognition and acknowledgement of this hard working staff. They can
be proud of the care and service they provide to our patients, doctors and to each other, not just this week but every day.
