What you Need to Know About Arthritis

Several people turned out at the Windsor Senior Center, on May 6, to hear Dr. Bill Dailey, present the program, What You Need to Know About Arthritis. Dr. Dailey presented information about the topic and answered several questions following the program.

GVMH is Still Tobacco Free

In 2006 The Missouri Division of Health and Human Services passed a regulation that all Missouri hospitals become tobacco free. Golden Valley Memorial Hospital joined other Missouri hospitals in meeting the regulation and declared their campus tobacco-free.

All tobacco products are prohibited on hospital property, physician clinics, hospital affiliated properties and parking lots.

Providing a healthy and comfortable environment for our patients is important.  Visitors to GVMH are asked to refrain from use of tobacco while visiting the campus.   When possible, patients are notified of the new policy before being admitted to hospital.  Patient care providers suggest tobacco aides when admitted as an inpatient if needed.  The hospital or physician may provide a variety of evidence-based resources and/or programs to assist patients.

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare would like to thank you for not using tobacco on our campuses.
