When you need quality health care but hospitalization or nursing home admission isn’t necessary, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare provides many services in the comfort and familiarity of home.
Home Health Care: provides physician-ordered services for people requiring nursing or therapy visits in all of Henry and Benton Counties, and parts of 5 other counties. These services include skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, social worker, and certified nurse aide visits. Home Health provides a vital link enabling patients to regain independence in the home setting and improving patient satisfaction and outcomes. Qualifications for services may vary by payment source. Home Care: covers Henry County only and provides in-home services, including errands, housekeeping, personal care, meal preparation, medication setups, venipuncture, assessments and other services as authorized by a patient's case manager. We offer assistance for you or your loved ones during recovery from an illness, surgery, injury or long-term medical problem in the privacy, comfort and security of home.
Through Home Services, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare offers a wide variety of skilled professionals to provide you with the comprehensive high tech medical care you need at home when institutional care such as hospitalization isn’t necessary.
For those who qualify, Medicare, Medicaid or Insurance Benefits will pay totally or in part for Home Health services. Each payer source has its own qualifications but they generally include:
- Must be ordered by a physician
- Must require the skilled care of a nurse or therapist
- Must be homebound, requiring assistance of another person to leave, and then must do so only on rare occasions or for medical care which cannot be obtained at home.

We have special teaching programs for Diabetes, Chronic Lung Disease, Congestive Heart Failure and Fall Prevention. Our nurses are skilled in IV therapy and Wound Vac Therapy. We have Registered Dietitians and Pharmacists for staff consultation. Our Social Workers are skilled in helping you with benefits and community resources. Our therapists are skilled in not only treating you but in evaluation of your home environment and following that evaluation with recommendations for your safety. We want to help you prevent a life threatening fall or other injury.
We are accredited by The Joint Commission and are a Medicare certified agency serving Henry and Benton Counties and part of Bates, Cass, Johnson, Pettis, and St. Clair Counties
HOME CARE
Home Care offers a wide range of personal and health related services. A caring individual will come to your home and assist you. Home Care services are geared toward allowing you to live in the comfort and familiar surroundings of your own home while receiving the care and assistance you need.
For those who qualify, Medicaid or other funding sources will cover the cost of Home Care services. The social worker representing the payer source will do an evaluation and design your plan of care.

CUSTOM CARE
Custom Care is designed to offer services to those individuals who do not qualify for our other programs. A nurse will visit with you to prepare a plan that meets your needs and to complete a contract. For those who qualify, private insurance policies pay for this type of care or you may arrange to pay privately.
