MEDICAL CARE UNIT

The Medical Unit is a 32-bed nursing unit, caring for patients in a professional, prompt, compassionate and safe manner. We value human life and strive to maintain the dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and rights of each patients and their family. Care is provided by trained and competent staff, which includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Unit Secretaries.

We serve adult and geriatric patients with disorders involving the respiratory, cardiovascular, renal-urinary, neurological, endocrine, gastrointestinal, hematological and/or musculoskeletal system. Emphasis is placed on safe and effective pain management as well as respect for end of life issues and supportive care.

We provide care to patients from infancy through adolescence that may have an acute illness or injury. Parents are encouraged to participate in the ongoing care of their child. Emphasis is placed on the safety and security of our pediatric patients at all times.
