Area students and/or health care workers may be interested in more information concerning the Zeta Gilvin Scholarship. The Zeta Gilvin Scholarship is made available by the generous donations of the family of Zeta Gilvin, her many friends, and from fund raising activities conducted by the Nursing Department at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital. Zeta Gilvin was a Registered Nurse at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital for 19 years and was a surgical nurse at the time of her untimely death.

The Zeta Gilvin Scholarship Committee has announced the availability of the scholarship for anyone planning to, or now pursuing, a course of studies in a college or university (two-year, four-year, or graduate) in a health care related field, and who lives within a 25-mile radius of Golden Valley Memorial Hospital.  Application forms may be obtained by contacting the Nursing Administration office at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, 1600 N. Second Street, Clinton, Missouri; (660) 885-5511 extension 7166.  
Deadline for submitting the scholarship application is Friday, April 13, 2007.   Winner of the scholarship will be announced during National Nurses Week, May 6-10, 2007. Personal contributions to the Zeta Gilvin Scholarship Fund can be made at Citizens Union State Bank in Clinton.
