Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare Introduces New Birthing Center Director

Clinton, Mo. – (May 17, 2019) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is pleased to introduce Wendy Bolinger RN, BSN, MBA as its new birthing center director.

With 25 years in her nursing career, Bolinger’s primary areas of focus have been labor and delivery, nursery, surgery and urology. She has worked as a leader and nurse manager with experience in training, education and mentoring in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings. Her goal is to make the birthing experience one of the most special days of a person’s life.

Since she started in March, Bolinger has been providing leadership and direction for the birthing center. She is assuring outstanding patient care, initiating quality improvement efforts and offering educational opportunities for nurses and physicians to grow and strengthen the birthing center at GVMH.

Bolinger received a bachelor of science in nursing from Pittsburg State University and a master of business administration in healthcare management from Western Governors University.

Prior to joining GVMH, she worked as registered nurse at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kan., and as a urology nurse manager and compliance officer for Dr. Elias Tawil, also in Pittsburg.

“We are thrilled to have Wendy at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare and have already seen a positive impact from her work,” said Lynnette Hayes, chief nursing officer at GVMH. “She has exceptional communication skills which is extremely important as she has to connect with patients, physicians and staff. Wendy is also passionate about the quality of work she does, teambuilding and helping our patients.”
