Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation Raises More Than $150,000 to Support Birthing Center

Clinton, Mo. – (Feb. 18, 2020) – The Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that $150,320 was raised in conjunction with the 2020 Evening to Remember Gala to support the purchase of a telemedicine robot exclusively for the Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) birthing center.

The robot is specifically designed to evaluate babies born with high risk medical needs. Having access to this technology helps babies born at GVMH and their families stay close to home, while receiving high-quality, expert treatment from specialized pediatricians through a videoconferencing system.

“The Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation is delighted to support the birthing center by purchasing the telemedicine robot,” said Sarah Duncan, foundation director. “We would like to extend our greatest thanks to each sponsor, supporter and attendee of the Evening to Remember Gala.”

The Evening to Remember Gala was presented by HCA Midwest Health. Featured sponsors included Mike Keith Insurance, Inc., Hawthorn Bank, BOK Financial, Klassen Construction, MAWD Pathology Group, LifeFlight Eagle, Parks Cabinets and Interior Landscapes.
