Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare Offers Curbside Testing

Clinton, Mo. – (July 9, 2020) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) will be conducting curbside COVID-19 testing at its east campus location, the former Saint Luke’s Clinic at 603 E. Gaines Drive, today and tomorrow by appointment only. To schedule an appointment for testing, contact your primary care provider or call 660.890.7300.

“Due to a recent increase of patients testing positive for COVID-19 and more requests for testing, we are offering additional curbside testing to support the community,” said Craig Thompson, CEO at GVMH. “If you have any COVID symptoms, such as fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion, runny nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, we encourage you to contact your primary care provider for direction and request an appointment. If you do not have any symptoms, but think you might have been exposed, we encourage you to quarantine for 14 days.”

“The Henry County Health Center is currently performing contact tracing to help prevent the spread,” said Peggy Bowles, Administrator, Henry County Health Center. “We will be working with people who have tested positive for COVID-19 and the people who they came in contact with to help interrupt disease spread. This includes asking people with COVID-19 and their contacts to quarantine at home voluntarily.”
