Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare Birthing Center Implements Initiative to Make Patients More Comfortable

Clinton, Mo. – (Jan. 6, 2022) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare Birthing Center is pleased to announce the implementation of HUSH (Help Us Support Healing), a new initiative to promote a quiet environment during the night hours for its patients during their hospital stay.

“At our Birthing Center, we want your stay to be free from unnecessary noise during the evening hours so that you can have a restful night of sleep,” said Wendy Bolinger, MBA, HCM, BSN, RN, Director of Birthing Center at GVMH. “Rest allows our bodies time to regenerate and heal, and we hope that HUSH will encourage everyone that enters the Birthing Center to be mindful of noise to ensure a calming and quiet environment for our patients.”

According to Bolinger, “our Birthing Center has also implemented a sleep menu that allows patients multiple options to help improve their rest. Some of these offerings include: ear plugs, a sleep mask, calming tea, a sound machine or a warm blanket to make them more comfortable and relaxed. We want our patients to have the best experience possible when they are here with us.”
