Health and Safety Are Our Top Priorities

At Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, we continue to be prepared and ready to care for all patients, including those with COVID-19. To ensure the health and safety of our patients, visitors, staff and communities, we have implemented specific precautions to make our facilities among the safest places to receive care.

We are:

  • Screening patients and visitors for fever, cough, shortness of breath and other symptoms
  • Requiring patients, visitors and staff to wear face coverings
  • Designating elevators and waiting areas between ill and well patients, depending on symptoms and types of visits
  • Utilizing social distancing
  • Allowing one visitor per patient
  • Cleaning our facilities per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) protocol

To protect yourself, your family and our communities from COVID-19:

  • Wash your hands often
  • Practice social distancing and stay at least six feet away from other people
  • Wear a face covering over your nose and mouth when around others
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces regularly
  • Monitor your health – be alert for symptoms
  • Stay home when you are sick

Flu Season

It is likely that flu viruses and the virus that causes COVID-19 will both spread this fall and winter. This means getting a flu vaccine this year is more important than ever. While getting a flu vaccine will not protect against COVID-19 there are many important benefits, such as reducing the risk of flu illness, hospitalization and death.
