Also located in the cancer center, our oncology clinic offers evaluation and ongoing treatment for patients with cancer and a variety of blood disorders.
Nurses administer chemotherapy treatments according to protocols as ordered and approved by the provider, while providing additional educational, emotional and supportive care. A board-certified hematologist-oncologist reviews all cases regarding the need for chemotherapy, radiation therapy or other necessary treatment of the cancer patient, while personally supervising all therapy.
In addition, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare offers a cancer support group that meets once a month to provide information and support to cancer patients and their family members.

Later this year, we will be completing the Dr. James and JoAnn Bourland Radiation Oncology at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare. This new facility will enable us to provide close-to-home access to comprehensive cancer care.
