Amy Guynn, Director of EMS at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare Recognized with Patriot Award for Support of Military Service

Clinton, MO. – (April 27, 2026) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) s proud to announce that Amy Guynn, Director of EMS, has been presented with the Patriot Award by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a program of the U.S. Department of Defense.

Guynn was nominated for the honor by Sgt. 1st Class Jeremiah Stoddard, a member of her team, in recognition of her exceptional support of employees who serve in the National Guard or Reserve. The award was presented during a ceremony honoring her commitment to service members and their families.

Established under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act, the Patriot Award recognizes individual supervisors who go beyond compliance to provide meaningful support to Guard and Reserve members. This includes flexible scheduling, time off before and after deployments, an understanding of military obligations, and a demonstrated commitment to the well-being of citizen-soldiers and their families.

The Patriot Award is nominated directly by members of the Guard or Reserve or their spouses and highlights an employer’s dedication to honoring military service, supporting workforce readiness and upholding the values of duty and service.
