A Gift That Goes the Distance

The Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation played a vital role in bringing the GVMH Mobile Mammography RV to life – an investment that directly expands access to lifesaving breast cancer screenings across our region.

Thanks to the generosity of the Patterson Family Foundation and the George R. Lilleston Estate, this fully equipped mobile unit now delivers advanced 3D mammography technology to women closer to home, removing barriers such as distance, time and transportation.

The Mobile Mammo RV was proudly unveiled during the Foundation’s annual Gala on March 7, 2026 marking a powerful moment of community impact and celebration. This milestone reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to turning generosity into meaningful, measurable health outcomes for the communities we serve.

Your Impact

Your contributions directly enhance patient care and improve community health. Some of the projects we have funded include:

  • Cardiac Rehab Support – Helping patients with copay and transportation assistance
  • Diabetes Education – Providing essential resources for diabetes management and prevention
  • Hospice Care – Supporting families through compassionate end-of-life care
  • Cancer Patient Relief Fund – Offering emergency financial assistance for rent, groceries, transportation and other essentials
  • Lymphedema Assistance – Supplying specialized garments to aid recovery after cancer treatment
  • Community Health Initiatives – Funding AED placements in schools, senior centers and community spaces

Additionally, we support local schools and organizations with health-related initiatives that benefit community health.
