Clinton, MO. – (May 8, 2026) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is proud to recognize Stephanie Smith, RN, Charge Nurse in the Birthing Center, for earning Employee of the Month.
Smith joined GVMH on January 17, 2022, as a Registered Nurse and was promoted to Charge Nurse on February 4, 2024. In her role, she maintains nursing standards of practice, supports patient care decisions and leads her team with accountability, professionalism and compassion.
She consistently demonstrates a deep commitment to both her patients and her coworkers. She is known for stepping in to support the team, often volunteering to help ensure proper staffing and high-quality care. Her leadership reflects a strong understanding of staff capabilities and patient needs, creating a supportive and efficient care environment.
Patients and families benefit from Stephanie’s calm and reassuring presence, especially during high-stress moments in the birthing process. She brings a steady and compassionate approach that helps patients feel supported and confident in their care. In addition to her leadership responsibilities, Stephanie balances her full-time role while raising four children. Her dedication, resilience and willingness to go above and beyond make a meaningful impact on those around her.
