Clinton, MO – (September 17, 2026) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is pleased to announce that Jason Foster, MD, has joined the organization as a Founding Faculty Member for the GVMH Family Medicine Residency Program and as a Family Medicine Provider at the Clinton Clinic.
A board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Foster earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Lawrence, KS, and completed the University of Kansas Family Medicine Residency in Kansas City, KS. He also completed post-baccalaureate studies in Molecular Bioscience at the University of Kansas Edwards Campus in Overland Park, KS, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Communications from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS.
In addition to helping shape the future of family medicine education at GVMH, Dr. Foster will provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages at the Clinton Clinic, helping expand access to primary care services in west-central Missouri.
Prior to joining GVMH, Dr. Foster served as an Attending Physician with University Health System in Kansas City and as an Assistant Professor with the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. During that time, he provided clinical training and mentorship to medical students and resident physicians and helped develop curriculum for an outpatient primary care behavioral health clinical rotation.
“Dr. Foster brings a unique combination of clinical excellence, teaching experience and a passion for mentoring future physicians,” said Jennifer Blair, DO, FAAFP, Program Director of the GVMH Family Medicine Residency Program. “As both a Founding Faculty Member and Family Medicine Provider, he will play an important role in caring for patients, educating residents and helping build a residency program that prepares physicians to serve rural communities.”
As a Founding Faculty Member, Dr. Foster will work alongside residency leadership to help develop curriculum, mentor residents and create meaningful educational experiences within a community-based training environment. His experience in both clinical practice and medical education will help ensure residents receive comprehensive training while developing the confidence and skills needed to become outstanding family medicine providers.
