Chemotherapy is administered by oncology-certified nurse’s according to protocols approved by the provider, while also offering educational, emotional and supportive care. A board-certified hematologist-oncologist reviews each case to determine the need for chemotherapy, radiation or other cancer treatments, and personally oversees all therapy.
Additionally, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare offers a monthly cancer support group to provide information and emotional support to patients and their families.
