My decision to become a doctor was driven by values instilled in me by my mother, who continues to work as a registered nurse in my hometown. As I grew up in a small community, I was proud that my mother had touched so many lives and made a difference each day when she went to work, which inspired me to pursue a career in healthcare. I can’t imagine a more rewarding job.
