Executive Director of Pharmacy and Regulatory
David Shultz is a dedicated healthcare leader with more than 15 years of experience in pharmacy services, including 11 years at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare. As the Executive Director of Pharmacy and Regulatory, he is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance, implementing action plans to address Joint Commission requirements and overseeing emergency preparedness operations for the organization.
In his role, Shultz provides strategic leadership in planning, staffing and directing pharmacy and regulatory activities to ensure operational excellence and high-quality service delivery. He collaborates closely with physicians, organizational leaders and department teams to enhance emergency preparedness strategies and regulatory effectiveness. His expertise in compliance and quality improvement supports GVMH’s commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence.
Shultz earned his Doctor of Pharmacy and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
He holds multiple certifications, including ICS and HICS at the Operational Level (2024), CDC Certification in Antimicrobial Stewardship (2022), IS-100: Introduction to the Incident Command System (2024), and Joint Commission Certification in Antimicrobial Stewardship (2022). He has also been recognized with the High Performer Evaluation Award from 2017-2024.
