Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare Offers Pediatric Sleep Studies for Children Ages Six and Older

Clinton, Mo. – (Jan. 13, 2022) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is now offering pediatric sleep studies to assist children ages six and older with sleep issues.

To evaluate sleep problems, patients will participate in an overnight sleep study to monitor their brain activity, breathing, heart rate and more while they sleep. This will assist in identifying the underlying causes of their sleep problems and help develop an effective treatment plan.

All testing is done under the supervision of Dr. Elkady, MD, FCCP, Pulmonologist, as well as skilled technicians and respiratory therapists. The child can have one parent or guardian stay with them.

“We will assist patients with sleep issues such as insomnia, nightmares, night terrors, sleep apnea, sleepwalking or talking and snoring,” said Ken Marek, Director of Pulmonary Services. “To schedule an appointment, call 660.890.7300.”
