Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare Celebrates First Graduating Class of Aspiring Leaders Program

Clinton, Mo. – (November 4, 2026) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) recently recognized the inaugural graduating class of its Aspiring Leaders Program, an initiative designed to invest in employee development, strengthen leadership capabilities and prepare future leaders across the organization.

The Aspiring Leaders Program was developed in response to employee feedback identifying a need for additional professional development and educational opportunities. In response, GVMH leaders created a program that equips employees with practical leadership tools they can apply in their current roles while preparing them for future leadership opportunities within the organization.

The inaugural cohort completed four interactive leadership development sessions focused on foundational leadership skills, including mission, vision and values, communication, change management and other core competencies that contribute to strong teams, a positive workplace culture and exceptional patient care. Members of the inaugural graduating class included:

  • Amy Bade, Population Health
  • Becci Huff, Environmental Services (EVS)
  • Marcie Bettencourt Jackson, Cancer Center
  • Emily Kilgore, Osceola Clinic
  • Trent Lankford, Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Meleanne Marlin, Birthing Center
  • Bobbi Rains, Therapy Services
  • Bailey Roberts, Materials Management

During GVMH’s quarterly employee meeting, graduates were recognized for completing the program and received a commemorative Aspiring Leaders challenge coin and certificate in recognition of their achievement. The challenge coin serves as a symbol of leadership growth, commitment to excellence and dedication to personal and professional development. Graduates were joined by their leaders during the recognition ceremony, highlighting the important role mentorship, encouragement and support play in developing future leaders at GVMH.

“Investing in our employees is one of the most important things we can do,” said Jessica Henderson, Chief Human Resources Officer. “The Aspiring Leaders Program reflects our commitment to helping employees grow both personally and professionally. We were inspired by the enthusiasm, engagement and growth demonstrated by our first group, and we look forward to seeing how these individuals continue to make a positive impact across our organization.”

The Aspiring Leaders Program is part of GVMH’s ongoing commitment to workforce development, employee engagement and leadership excellence. By cultivating future leaders from within, the organization continues to strengthen its workforce while advancing its mission of providing patients with our Golden Standard of Care.
